Kamelot - My Confession
Finally got to see the new KAMELOT video, for their song "My Confession"
I love this song, and the video in itself is really good! But I should have expected something more linked to the story the album is based on. Except for the chapel, I can hardly see any reference to the concept. The video for "Sacrimony" has many more references to this story in its video, than this one.
I'm a little disappointed because of this. But for those who don't know about the concept, it is a great video indeed! =)

A dream coming true, and a future in my reach...
After my composing melodies for some texts he wrote, a friend of mine asked me to join his rock/grunge band project, as the guitarist & vocalist!! I still have difficulties to believe it!
The name of our band is CREEPY OASIS. You can find some tunes we composed on our Reverbnation page.
2 days ago, I received my diploma equivalence certificate for Belgium!! I can get to Brussel next year for my studies!! :D

Sad news
Yesterday, May 2nd, Slayer's guitarist & co-lyricist/composer Jeff Hanneman passed away.
It's one of the greatest metal guitarist that disappears.
R.I.P Jeff. You'll be greatly missed, but the world of metal will never forget you! Thank you for all you gave to metal music. Shred on from South of Heaven with Dimebag, Chuck Schuldiner and all those great guitarists gone too soon!

She sung in a TV Show and ends up singer in a band she admires...
Sounds idyllic, doesn't it?
This is the story of Rachel Aspe, french extreme singer. She took part of the French TV game show "La France a un Incroyable Talent" (meaning: "France has an Incredible Talent")...
...and then sang in the song Fireblat, by the french band Kerion
And today, the french metalcore band ETHS announced they chose Rachel (who is a great fan of the band) as their new singer, after Candice Clot's departure in September 2012.

I wish all the best to Rachel with ETHS. She's a good choice, I believe Nelly Wood & Virginie Goncalves weren't such a good substitute to Candice.

Watching the finale of finnish pre-selections for Eurovision Song Contest. Only understand 1 word of 100 but doesn't matter ^^ I love Finnish anyway!
And I'm watching it for one reason: Arion. The metal band of this finale! The drummer is Stratovarius' Matias Kupiainen's brother. I sincerely hope they'll win, they deserve it!

Silverthorn
I recently got the limited edition of Kamelot's new album, Silverthorn. And I must say, I'm glad I bought this version!! =)
First, the songs are really beautiful: Sacrimony, Torn, Solitaire, Silverthorn... the 2 jewels of this albums are the wonderful Song for Jolee and Falling Like the Fahrenheit, the new single. Tommy's voice is awesome, and the musician are still incredibly great!! :D
Second, this limited edition contains an instrumental CD, including 2 pieces unreleased on the other version: Kismet and Grace.
Last but not least, it also includes the story of Silverthorn, written by Amanda Somerville. A short story incredibly good written, and which helps to understand the concept of the album.

...is a french-russian technical melodeath band, called Sweetest Devilry!
The band is composed of the Béguigné brothers (Jeff, vocals/guitars & Andrian, drums), Tarik Heddoun (guitars), Victor Perrin and Sylvere Cauzard.

A new web series : Morgan Parker

This is the 1st episode of the series, named after the main character, a weird young man living in 2033 in a town called Paradox City, whose life will one day be changed forever.
I discovered this thanks to a friend of my big brother, who is part of the production team and plays in this episode, and I must say I had a blast watching it. It's truely great!

ah, YouTube. Truely incredible website, when web-users from all over the world post all sorts of video. And among the lolcats, humoristics stuff and other crazy shit, you can fall on something totally unexpected.
I'd quote only one name: Eric Calderone, aka Erock.
This american guitarist picks up worldwide famous songs, Internet memes (Nyan Cat, Gangnam Style, Trololo...), movie soundtracks (Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars...) or even video game soundtracks (Skyrim or Super Mario themes), and turns them into something much more... metal, re-arrangeing them and adding some riffs, sometimes mixing a track with extracts of another song. The mp3 can be found on his website
If you happen to be a metalhead yourself, you can but like it. Along those videos, Lady GaGa and LMFAO might become your friends (I said "might"!).
His last stuff: a metal version of "Numa Numa", including the guitar solo of Bodom Beach Terror, by Children Of Bodom!
As a metalhead, I must say his versions are simply amazing. As a guitarist, I can but admire his playing.
